We had a great time at The Growler Haus last night sampling our tailgating and party packages. Lots of people showed up and enjoyed some really great food and drink! I have to say that Creekside Bar-Be-Que’s Wings and Poppers were a favorite along with The Growler Haus’ Pumpkin Ale and our Whoopee Pies. If you missed out, however, we are sampling again Today at The Sweetery! Stop in from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and with your lunch you will get to try two items from Creekside Bar-Be-Que, a Whoopee Pie or Cake Bite, and a sample of Craft Beer hand picked by The Growler Haus. It’s Taste Test Tuesday today, but it’s not going to be here at The Sweetery! Today, we will be sampling at The Growler Haus in downtown Anderson from 5:00 to 7:00. We will be sampling our tailgating and party packages that we have put together with Creekside Bar-Be-Que and The Growler Haus. The best thing about it is IT’S FREE! Once you have a taste, we promise you will be hooked and ready to pick which package you want to take to this weekend’s season opener. And to top it off, 10% of ALL sales will be going to Anderson County Meals on Wheels the entire football season. Good Morning! Are you ready for football season? We are, and we have so much going on this week that will get you prepared for game time if you’re not already. Let’s start with our lunch specials. Our first special is The Gobbler; our Bourbon Peppercorn Turkey placed in a Toasted Ciabatta Roll with Lettuce, Mayo, Blue Cheese Crumbles, and a tasty Hot Sauce.
Our second special is a Kickoff Hero; Our slow cooked Roast Beef topped with Roasted Onions and Tomatoes, melted Provolone Cheese, and fresh Spinach, and placed on a Toasted French Roll with a bit of Mayo to finish it off.
We’re going to call an audible for Taste Test Tuesday and change it up a little bit. First, our Taste Test Tuesday will be tomorrow night at The Growler Haus from 5:00 7:00. Stop in, sample the tailgate and party packages that we are offering, pick your favorite one and place your order. If you’re unable to make it tomorrow night, then stop in from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Wednesday to sample some of the items that will be offered in our tailgating and party packages. FOOTBALL IS HERE! This year The Sweetery has teamed up with Creekside BBQ and The Growler Haus to take tailgating to the next level. We’re not going to give you cole slaw and chicken or hamburgers and hotdogs. Instead, we have three packages that will have everyone swirling around your spot this football season. Choose from our Brisket and Biscuit Package, our Wings, Poppers, and Pies Package, or our Pulled Pork BBQ Package. And if that wasn’t enough, Craig at The Growler Haus is going to personally pare your package with a delicious Craft Beer. But wait, there’s more! 10% of ALL sales on these packages will go to the Anderson Meals on Wheels during the entire football season! Want to taste before you pick your package? No problem. Tuesday evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm we will have a Kickoff Party at The Growler Haus where you can sample some food, have a cold beverage and pick your Tailgating Package.
Taste Test Tuesday is today! Today’s cake is a our Chocolate Pound Cake with Salted Caramel Frosting. A favorite here with our customers, we’ve turned it up a notch by adding a new flavor with salted caramel. It’s back to school and a slice of this cake would make a great addition to any lunch box. Good morning! I’m pushing it close, so let’s talk lunch specials. Our first special is a Market Ham Sandwich; Black Forest Ham topped with melted Gouda Cheese, fresh Red Onions, and finished with a delicious Dark Cherry and Pear Chutney. All this deliciousness is placed between two slices of toasted Pumpernickel Bread.
Our second special is a Grilled Ghicken and Vegetable Hero; Grilled Chicken topped with Roasted Vegetables, fresh Basil, and a homemade Olive Tapenade, then placed on a toasted Whole Wheat Hoagie with a dab of light mayo to finish it off.

It’s been a whirlwind of a morning, but here is our Taste Test Tuesday Cake: the Heaven and Hell Cake; Moist Devil’s Chocolate Cake layers and fluffy Angel’s Food Cake Layers with Peanut Butter Mousse separating them and finally covered in our Cooked Fudge Frosting. Our first lunch special is Too Good of a Turkey Sandwich; our Bourbon Peppercorn Turkey placed on a toasted French Roll and topped with Honey, Bacon, fresh Arugula, Tomatoes, and Red Onions, homemade Guacamole Salsa, and finished with a spicy bacon aioli.
Our second special is Korean BBQ Sliders; Shredded pork tossed in a Korean BBQ Marinade and placed in Steamed Buns and served with a side of homemade Bok Choy, Apple, and Carrot Slaw.

It’s raining, it’s pouring, it’s Taste Test Tuesday and we have a cake that should brighten up your day. Today’s cake is our Banana Split Cake; two Banana Cake Layers filled with Pecans and Chocolate Chips and separated by one of our Strawberry Cake Layers. Then we put fresh Pineapple between two layers and strawberries between the other two. To finish it off, we surround this cake with our Cream Cheese Frosting and top it with our Cooked Fudge Frosting. Stop in today for your slice and let us know what you think.

Our first special is an Heirloom Tomato BLT; Fresh Heirloom Tomatoes from Concord Produce, Applewood Bacon, and a Crisp Spring Salad Blend placed on Country White bread with our own Pimiento Aioli.
