    We are so excited about the new year and new ideas we have.  Of course we are keeping our traditional cakes, cookies, and special treats too.  Ryan made a chocolate cake with a hazel nut filling and it was so good.  He is tweaking it a little, but we will have in time for Valentine’s Day!

    The Sweetery is back to our regular shipping schedule.  We ship Monday through Wednesday.  It is not too early to think about shipping your loved one something for Valentine’s Day, order by February 6th to ensure delivery by Valentine’s Day.

    Merry Christmas!  We are still baking away.  Our hours this week are the same 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. 

    Saturday, Christmas Eve we will be close early.   Open 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.

    We will reopen Wednesday, December 28th.

    SHIPPING NEWS

    The last day to place a shipping order is Tuesday, December 20th.  Our last day to ship will be Wednesday, December 21st.

    We will not ship again until January 3rd.

    Hello everyone! Christmas is close.  For Taste Test Tuesday, we have our Pepperment Chocolate Torte.  Moist Chocolate layers with pepperment, white chocolate ganache filling, covered with Divinty Icing.  This rich cake is soo good, words can not do it justice, so stop by and taste it today!

    It is not too late to ship a cake to your friends or loved ones.  Unfortunately, we can’t ship this cake, but we have a lot for you to choose from.

    Once again it’s Taste Test Tuesday! Today we have a great new cake to celebrate the holidays with. Today’s cake is a Heath Bar Toffee Crunch Cake. We’ve soaked three Chocolate Cake layers in sweetened milk and covered them in a whipped cream cheese frosting filled with crunchy toffee pieces and toasted pecans. Replace the cookies with this rich and delicious cake, and I promise that Santa will be extra good to you this year. See you for lunch!

    Already sold one and Peggy says it is her new favorite!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

    Good morning! We’ve been up early baking extra pies, cakes, and cookies so that everyone can have what they want for a great holiday dinner. We have Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Pecan, and Derby Pies available along with our delicious cakes. Just stop by and let us take care of dessert for you. We’ll be open until 6:00pm today, and will reopen Friday at 8:00am. On behalf of everyone here, we wish each of you a Happy and safe Thanksgiving and thank you for your business.

    Good Monday morning, and Happy Turkey Week! Hopefully it will be a busy week, and we are already busy baking for all of your orders.  No worries, though.  There is still plenty of time for you to place your order if you haven’t already done so. But while you are deciding on what you would like us to bake for you, I quickly want to tell you about the lunch specials this week. This week we are bringing back two of your favorite specials!

    Our first special is our Autumn Harvest Turkey Melt; our bourbon peppercorn turkey and black forest ham topped with fresh red onions, sharp cheddar cheese, and homemade cranberry pecan relish and placed on sourdough with our alehouse mustard. Once this is put all together, we grill it to tasty perfection.

    Our second special is the Memphis Ham and Sweet Bourbon Smoker; black forest ham marinated in a smokey sweet bourbon sauce topped with melted cheddar cheese and apples, and placed on toasted country white bread.

    We have a great week planned, so we hope to see you at some point. Two good reasons to come in are our lunch specials. Our first lunch special is a Southwest Roast Beef Panini; our slow cooked roast beef topped with fresh veggies, Monterey Jack Cheese, avocado, and mayo, placed on a bolillo roll and grilled to perfection.

    Our second special is Turkey Apple Jack; Bourbon roasted peppercorn turkey topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese, and placed on whole wheat bread with Apple butter and basil mayo. Once this is together, we place it on the grill for all the flavors to come together to make a delicious lunch time treat.         

    We’re busy this week as we turn the corner and head towards Thanksgiving and we have a great week planned. Place your orders for next week  and send a cake to a friend or family member for the holidays.

    The weather is cooling off and the leaves are just fantastic this year around here this year.  I’m not sure Ryan has been able to see many though as busy as he has been in the kitchen.

    Ryan has a new Pumpkin Streusel Cake with an Apple Cider Glaze.  It is a new favorite for my 10 year old daughter.  The Sweetery’s Apple Date Pound Cakes with homemade Caramel glaze are going fast too!

    It is not too early to place your orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  To ensure we have exactly what you want, call today!

    It is still football season.  The Sweetery has paired with Creekside BBQ and come up with great tailgating packages. You can check them out on our Facebook page.
