It’s Taste Test Tuesday! I believe the warm weather is here to stay, everyone is out and about, and I’m missing one thing. Where are the lemonade stands? Well today we’re fixing you up. Stop in and try our Strawberry Pink Lemonade Cake today. This delectable cake consists of Strawberry Cake and Pink Lemonade Cake with lemon curd and fresh strawberries tucked gently between the layers, then surrounded with a most delicious Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting. Good morning to ya! We hope everyone had a great weekend and all you Moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day despite the rain. I quickly want to tell you about our lunch specials that we are offering this week. Our first special is a Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Wrap; Marinated chicken, sliced, and placed in a flour tortilla with fresh spinach, tomatoes, and red onions, and served with a side of teriyaki honey mustard for dipping. Our second special is a Spring Vegetable Quesadilla; fresh veggies, roasted, and placed in a flour tortilla with cheddar, mozzarella, and pepperjack cheese, and grilled to tasty perfection. Stop in tomorrow for Taste Test Tuesday and sample our cake of the week. Also, The Sweetery T-shirts will be here soon and we will have them available for you to sport around town. Mother’s Day Cake Giveaway

Congratulations to April Burdette! She is the winner of our Mother’s Day Strawberry Cake giveaway. All of the entrees were great, and it was very hard to pick one. Everyone here at The Sweetery would like to say Thank You to all of the Mother’s that mean so much to us. You are the foundation we are built upon, our shelter in the storm, and a love like no other! Taste Test Tuesday is today, and do we have a cake? for you! You’ve seen the cookie cakes in the malls, a nice 12 inch round cookie with Happy Birthday written on it, blah, blah, blah. That’s cute and all, but is it really a cake? So we came up with THE SWEETERY’S Cookie Cake and we’re sampling it today. Three 8 inch Chocolate Chip Cookies stacked on top of each other and filled with our Chocolate Buttercream Frosting and then finished with our own Whipped frosting with chunks of Chocolate and Toasted Pecans. So come in and try a sample with your order. See you for lunch!

Good Monday morning! It’s Mother’s Day week here and we’re going to have several things on our menu this week to show our appreciation to all of the Moms. Let’s start with our lunch specials. I asked my mom to pick what she would want for lunch, so this week we have a Mother’s Day Lunch Special; a fresh wedge of cantaloupe with a scoop of chicken salad alongside fresh grapes, celery sticks, carrot sticks, and homemade deviled eggs. Our second special is a Poached Pear and Ham Melt; black forest ham topped with poached pears and cheddar cheese and placed on whole wheat bread with dijon mustard and our delicious cranberry pecan relish. All of this goodness is then grilled to tasty perfection. We’re giving away another FREE STRAWBERRY CAKE on Facebook this week. Here’s the deal: In one sentence, we want you to tell us what your mother means to you. Friday morning we will choose a winner and give that person a Strawberry Cake to give to their mom with a special message inside to give to their mom. Even if you don’t win, we will be offering Message In a Cake with any of our cakes, just ask any of our sales associates. Have a great week and we hope to see you!

Good morning and happy Taste Test Tuesday! Senores y Senoras, in honor of Cinco de Mayo we will be sampling our Tres Leches Cake today. This delicious cake is a simple yellow cake recipe soaked in three different milks after baking. It is then topped with a delicious homemade whipped frosting and fresh Strawberries. Good morning everyone! We hope you had a good weekend, you’re refreshed, and ready to start the week. And to keep your week going, we have two great lunch specials. Our first special is Caribbean Jerk Ham Sliders; Black Forest Ham topped with sweet peppers and melted Pepper Jack Cheese and placed on toasted Potato Buns with a sweet and savory pineapple spread. Our second special is a Strawberry Spinach Salad Wrap; Grilled Chicken placed in a flour tortilla with fresh Spinach, Strawberries, Mandarin Orange slices, and Red Onions and finished with our homemade Strawberry Vinaigrette. It’s Taste Test Tuesday! Today we are celebrating the coming of summer “fruity drink” style. We will be sampling our Daiquiri Cake, two of our delicious Key Lime Cake layers with homemade Lime Curd and fresh Strawberries between them and covered with our Cream Cheese frosting and Coconut.
